OFCOM's deregulation of the telecoms market saw BT loose its monopoly. Although BT still owns and runs 90 percent of the copper infrastructure their wholesale arm (BT Wholesale) supply their retail division (BT retail) and indeed many of the other telecoms providers who in turn supply direct to end users.
The fact that BT continues to own and run the copper network through their engineering division
(BT Openreach) means companies switching their billing provider will see no disruption to their service.
In fact what they will receive is the same excellent service from BT openreach for a fraction of the cost.
